Account Executive II, Construction
Account Executive II, Construction We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Executive to join our Central region Construction & Infrastructure team. This role combines the strategic oversight of a Senior Claims Consultant with the relationship-driven focus of a Client Services Professional. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and claims resolution while driving risk mitigation strategies that reduce total cost of risk. This is a virtual role with the flexibility to work anywhere in the Continental United States. What the day will look like Client Advocacy & Service Management + Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing all aspects of service delivery and claims advocacy. + Review and revise account service instructions to ensure alignment with client expectations and carrier/TPA capabilities. + Address escalated claims and service concerns with urgency and professionalism, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction. + Participate in telephonic and in-person claim reviews, audits, and stewardship meetings, focusing on actionable outcomes and measurable improvements. Claims Strategy & Risk Consulting + Analyze loss data to identify trends and operational exposures; develop tailored strategies to mitigate risk and reduce claim frequency/severity. + Collaborate with internal claims consultants and external TPAs/carriers to ensure proactive claims handling and strategic oversight. + Provide technical expertise across multiple lines of coverage, including workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile, first-party property, and builder’s risk. Account Management & Business Development + Lead the execution of day-to-day service activities, including policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals. + Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriting partners and internal stakeholders to support client objectives. + Support Producers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and cross-sell initiatives. + Prepare and negotiate fee-based service agreements, ensuring profitability and value alignment. + Travel – 25% How this opportunity is different This role offers a unique blend of strategic consulting and client advocacy, with exposure to diverse coverage lines and direct influence on risk outcomes. Skills and experience that will lead to success + Strong professional background in client services leadership, process improvement, and innovative problem-solving. + Deep claims acumen across workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile, and first-party property, including builder’s risk. + 10+ years of experience in claims consulting, client services, or account management within the insurance or risk management industry. + Proven ability to analyze complex claims data and translate insights into actionable strategies. + Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. + P&C Broker License required; Education: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience. + Must maintain an active Property and Casualty insurance license, or be able to acquire one within the first 90 days of employment Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000-$195,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
