Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service is looking for an Account Executive to join our team in Lubbock, TX. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Account Executive is responsible for building and nurturing client relationships driving revenue growth within an assigned geographic territory.  The Account Executive will be responsible for sales targets across the Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service portfolio of products.

Job Location: Lubbock, TX

Essential functions:

Increase revenue, gross margin and market penetration in the region by developing new and nurturing existing relationships with customers in the region. Responsible for technical sales and business development across the Cleaver-Brooks Sales and Service suite of offerings. Working with internal resources, perform required research to support customer RFQ’s and general information solicitations to ensure that offerings conform to equipment/use specifications. Manage quotes and perform after action analysis to understand close rates and increase performance. Relying on relevant internal support, be responsible for the entire customer/order lifecycle including customer setup, quote response, invoice integrity and collection assurance. Be involved in relevant regional industry associations as appropriate to ensure a complete understanding of the regional market – competitors, customers and market trends. Be the Voice of the Customer with respect to new products, types of business relationships, etc. to increase the value of CBSS to our customers. Work with management to develop local strategy. Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

This is a direct customer facing position therefore excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required. Comfort working with many different levels within our customer’s organization. The ability to apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results. Computer competency including Outlook, Word, Excel required.  Basic understanding of boiler industry terminology a plus.

Basic Requirements:

Education:  A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Experience: 3+ years relevant sales experience with commercial and industrial boiler systems. Travel Requirements: +50% state and regional travel; travel will consist of visiting customers, project sites, tradeshows, etc.

Physical Skill & Effort: 

Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level. Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion up to 50 pounds lifting.

Working Conditions and Hazards:  

Normal office conditions. Moderate travel primarily by car to customer sites. Client sites may have location specific safety requirements and hazards associated with the industry and boiler room.
