**Position Purpose:**
The Key Account Manager (Account Executive) in our Corrections segment manages a customer and geographical sales territory, ensuring customer needs are met, and budgeted sales/gross profit objectives are achieved/exceeded. They prospect for new business and customers, effectively using company and territory management and sales techniques. The Key Account Manager builds trust and credibility with customers by uncovering and meeting their distribution, product and strategic needs, and by resolving issues and discovering opportunities. They effectively manage their assigned sales territory through effective time management, establishing goals and objectives, and maintaining regular, periodic contacts with all customers based on account volume, opportunities and needs in line with company initiatives and sales processes, developing customer-specific strategies accordingly. The Key Account Manager functions as a team member within the department and organization and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company in meeting key initiatives and targeted position KPI’s.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Successfully highlight Vistar features and benefits
+ Develop appropriate product recommendations and consumer insights information presentations to support customer business strategies
+ Develop short- and long-term strategies to call on high potential accounts, managing time and resources effectively to cover the entire sales territory
+ Follow through on all commitments in a timely manner
+ Refer non-sales problems (i.e. delayed shipments, expediting orders, etc.) to appropriate party, which includes Sales Managers, center personnel or Corporate/Denver support group quickly
+ Coordinates customer service activities and initial set up of accounts through communicating with appropriate distribution centers (OpCo's) and/or Corporate team(s)
+ Retrieve and utilize information continually to make the appropriate and profitable recommendation on pricing for the customer and Vistar, ensuring Vistar’s CRM is utilized and updated as directed
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
This person will be remote, and we are looking for them to be based in the Raleigh, NC market. Travel is 50-75%.
