Summarized Purpose:

Works in collaboration with Account Development Reps to support RFP funnel growth by researching prospective client pipelines, identifying qualified leads, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

 

Essential Functions and Other Job Information:  

Manage marketing-generated leads and follow up as appropriate

Serve as AD team tool usage trainer and provide new hire onboarding support

Create demand gen leads in support of AD team

Maintain corporate reporting protocols

Develop strategic plans to support AD RFP volume

Job Complexity:

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Job Knowledge:

Some CRO knowledge preferred; sales experience preferred.

Supervision Received:

Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Business Relationships:

Contacts are external and internal to the company. Builds productive internal / external working relationships.

Qualifications:  

 

Education and Experience:  

 Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’).

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong ability to develop a territory management strategy, identify and develop sales leads within the territory, professionally present capabilities, and collaborate with others to hand-off the relationship internally

Ability to coordinate information from and follow-up with diverse sources in order to develop relationships with internal and external clients

Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure professional interactions with internal and external clients

Ability to collaborate and integrate with various internal departments

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the industry, the company, and functional areas in order to strategically generate leads

Adept at sales automation systems and the Microsoft Office suite

Excellent organization and time management skills in prioritizing daily activities and responsibilities with focus on target

Maintain knowledge of CRO service offerings including clinical trial support, regulatory affairs, preclinical studies, and data management.

Collaborate with Marketing to support lead generation strategies, webinars, and targeted outreach campaigns.

Working Conditions and Environment:

Remote or in office where available

Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international

Physical Requirements:

Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day

Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists

Frequent mobility required

Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck

Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.

Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf

Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $19.57–$32.61.
