Job Description
The Accessioner I is responsible for receiving and triaging all specimens for clinical testing. This role involves managing clinical information within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) database, performing internal audits of clinical charts, and collaborating with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.
ResponsibilitiesReceive and triage specimens for clinical testing.Manage clinical information within the LIMS database.Perform internal audits of clinical charts.Collaborate with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.Process laboratory samples, primarily blood, for analysis.Catalog patient specimens such as blood, urine, or tissue for analysis.Essential SkillsProficiency in specimen processing and accessioning.Experience with laboratory operations and data entry.Competence in specimen collection and sample preparation.Additional Skills & Qualifications0-2 years of work experience in a related field.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biological sciences preferred.Strong attention to accuracy and deadlines.Ability to work well independently and within a team.Work Environment
Work primarily involves handling blood specimens in a laboratory setting. This role requires adherence to strict protocols and accuracy in data management. The laboratory environment is collaborative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
