We have an exciting, new opportunity for an enthusiastic Accessibility and Inclusion Advisor to join the team on a part time basis for 12 months.
What you’ll be doing
You will play a pivotal role in advancing our Kmart and Target commitment to equity and inclusivity within the workplace. This includes supporting the implementation of workplace adjustments, managing administrative tasks related to wage subsidies, equipment inventory, D&I queries and the coordination of inclusive talent management, career development, as well as support with relevant learning and development programs.
As an Accessibility and Inclusion Advisor working for Kmart Group you will:
Conduct qualified workplace assessment and identify tailored and universal accessible solutions Provide guidance and advice to technology, property, safety and other key functions to develop accessible solutions to support the implementation of workplace adjustments Eg: JAWS, Co-pilot, Accessible Registers, PTT adaptations and Voice to Text. Record, sign off, monitor and report incoming wage subsidies Manage recruitment relationships with DES and service providers as required Develop and rollout training resources and support resources for workplace adjustments and disability confidence Build and enhance existing workplace adjustment resources and documents Monitor program outcomes and provide regular updates
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
A bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent Expertise within the disability sector, including DES/NDIS Ability to work at pace, push through barriers and drive for results in a large complex organisation Excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to listen to people, reflect, show empathy and build rapport quickly, with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders Experience in workplace assessment and adjustments for people with disability. Proven experience in change management, preparing communications, facilitating training programs and coaching and educating business leaders, to enable them foster culture, diversity and inclusion, within their team everyday Experience in learning and development programs and building support resources
