Main responsibilities:

Lead the M&S Accelerator data strategy & design of solutions for innovative products; through expert knowledge translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standardsImplements required data foundations architecture and design to meet business use case requirements and expand capabilitiesSimplify the data strategy by delivering reusable services and cost-saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the groupResponsible throughout the entire product lifecycle for the end-to-end solution of the product and compliance with enterprise data model and logical data groupsProvide clear, continuous, and consistent M&S data architecture leadership at a detailed level within the productsLead and participate in the peer review and quality assurance of project architectural artifacts across Accelerator teams through governance forumsReport key architecture decisions and implications to the architectural governance forumsParticipate in the supplier selection process, evaluating usefulness and cost of products and making appropriate recommendations.Expected to carry out core accountabilities with high level of supervision for complex tasksCreate and maintain current- and target-state accelerator data architecturesEnsure technology solutions are in alignment with enterprise data architecture principles and target state. Work with Digital teams, business analysts and data analytics teams to understand data needs and develop solutionsEvaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, insights, and analyticsOversee third party architecture designsEnsure Agile Dev/Ops alignment to architecture implementation in compliant and consistent manner with the Accelerator’s strategy

Key Requirements:   

Understanding of life sciences/pharmaSolid years of experience in industry/manufacturing, working with comprehensive data architectureExperience with data-processing systems (OLTP vs. OLAP – normalization vs. denormalization), plus capacity to go deeper – into data modelling itselfExperience oversees the full lifecycle of manufacturing processes from architecture design through implementation, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure seamless deliveryExperience optimizing the utilization of M&S platforms to maximize business value while ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectivenessAbility to lead the governance of architecture decisions, ensuring compliance with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, and internal data quality standards.The candidate must be detailed oriented, customer driven, able to work well across time zones on a truly global team, and a team playerKnowledge on agile environments, being able to create adaptable, scalable data solutions that enhance M&S capabilities across areas including early development, clinical, regulatory, and pharmacovigilanceStrong experience working with data and data platformsStrong experience with Agile based development, preferably with direct experience as Solution ArchitectPreferred experience with GxP, HIPAA and GDPR regulationsDemonstrate professional and reliable behaviour on a consistent basis
