Main responsibilities: 

Work with business teams to understand requirements, and translate them into technical needs Apply data science expertise in machine learning, statistics, forecasting and optimization to multiple AI projects/productsGather/organize large & complex data assets, and perform relevant analysis to propose and implement relevant data models for each business caseBuild models, algorithms, simulations, and experiments by writing highly optimized code and using state-of-the art machine learning technologiesWork on full-spectrum of activities, from conducting ML experiments to delivering production-ready modelsUse data analysis, visualization, storytelling, and data technologies to scope, define and deliver AI-based data productsWork with developers, engineers, and MLOps to deliver AI/ML solutions

You are a dynamic data scientist interested in challenging the status quo to ensure development and impact of Sanofi's AI solutions for the patients of tomorrow. You are an influencer and leader who has deployed AI/ML solutions applying state-of-the art algorithms with technically robust lifecycle management. You have a keen eye for improvement opportunities and a demonstrated ability to deliver AI/ML solutions while working across different technologies and in a cross-functional environment.

 
About you 

Experience:

Experience developing deployable code and deploying models in product-focused development under an agile environmentExperience in production-ready software development Track record of applying machine learning/deep learning approaches to solve health-related problemsExperience with content generation using Large Language Models (LLM) is desiredExperience in a healthcare company is a strong plus

Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Designing and implementing RAG pipelines to enhance LLM capabilities with external knowledgeFine-tuning models to combine retrieval results with generative outputsKnowledge of Agentic FrameworksBuilding systems where LLMs act as agents capable of reasoning and interacting with APIs/toolsFamiliarity with frameworks like LangChain, or similar agent-driven architecturesPrompt Engineering and Few-Shot LearningCrafting effective prompts for specific tasks, leveraging few-shot and zero-shot paradigmsOptimizing prompts for performance, clarity, and reduced token consumptionFamiliarity with LLM evaluation frameworks (e.g., OpenAI Evals, custom metrics)Natural Language Processing (NLP) FundamentalsUnderstanding of transformer-based architectures (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5)Knowledge of tokenization, embeddings, and pre-training/fine-tuning paradigmsBuilding NLP pipelines for text classification, summarization, and entity recognitionFamiliarity with Knowledge Graphs and Semantic SearchBuilding and integrating knowledge graphs for structured information retrievalLeveraging semantic search for improved accuracy in large-scale document understanding

Education:

PhD in mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline with strong coding skills, OR Master’s Degree in relevant domain
