**Job Title: Packager** **Shift: 3:00 PM-11:30 PM** **Job Description** The Packager ensures parts are packaged to specifications for shipment to the customer or for the stock room area. This role requires attention to the quality of parts being shipped and monitoring required ship dates. Responsibilities include numbering parts prior to packaging, packing and shipping from the stockroom area, and wrapping parts for shipment or storage. **Responsibilities** + Mark and label containers, container tags, or parts using marking tools. + Utilize stamping machines and follow directions for handling parts as per work instructions. + Complete necessary paperwork, including time and sequence numbers. + Adhere to quality levels and safety rules. + Follow organizational initiatives as directed by the area Coach. + Reference the route sheet for special instructions pertaining to packaging operations, ensuring products arrive safely and undamaged. + Submit a Job Improvement/Suggestion Form or Pack Information Sheet for specific part numbers to be added to the route sheet before the next order. + Ensure a controlled and consistent method of masking and adhesion of parts for the paint and powder coat process. + Operate the oven for parts requiring heat treatment and complete the unmasking process post paint and powder coating. **Essential Skills** + Experience in production and packaging operations. + Basic computer skills and manufacturing knowledge. + Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic reading and writing skills to understand work orders. + Ability to use a computer. + US Citizenship due to subcontractor requirements for government avionics projects. **Why Join Us?** + Clean, air‑conditioned facility + Great benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance + 401(k) with company match and profit‑sharing opportunities + Paid holidays, PTO, and wellness perks + Employee appreciation events that recognize your hard work **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CEDAR RAPIDS, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
