**Main Purpose of Role**
**Responsible for learning and development curriculum planning, implementing and executing of learning and development programs within Japan that make the best use of Abbott employee’s current and future abilities.**
**Manage the overall training delivery and operations activities in Japan and ensure they are conducted efficiently, cost–effectively and in accordance with the organization’s policies and standards.**
**Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in the events management, coordination, and management of training and development activities and tasks**
**Self-starter that is able to work with limited supervision but with regional and global mindset to keep leadership informed**
**Ability to execute specialized projects while meeting the organization’s needs.**
**Ability to trouble-shoot issues and problem-solve while considering current training processes.**
**Ability to flex depending on Japan market local needs and able to quickly support ad-hoc projects when and where needed**
**Apply developed learning and development knowledge and skills in the planning, implementation and delivery of training programs; work with the organization on learning needs of their business through vehicles such as the training needs analysis.**
**Support sourcing, evaluating, and tracking third party training vendors and programs; local training, events management (and others as needed) vendors contract processes with local purchasing; support and maintain on-going vendor relationships.**
**Maintain and analyze organization and individual training metrics in order to monitor the effectiveness of internal and external training programs; provide operational support to metrics gathering systems.**
**Support researching and sourcing training programs and resources, or recommend externally-provided programs, which meet the needs of individuals and are consistent with the organization’s overall training plan.**
**Provide guidance to employees about the organization's training programs and policies and arrange for them to participate in internal and external training so the organization’s training resources are allocated effectively.**
**Coordinate delivery and operations activities to ensure training programs are delivered with high quality resources.**
**Coordinate day to day logistical support to execute the delivery of training.**
**Procures, organizes, maintains, prepares and provides, set-up of materials, audio visual equipment and classrooms.**
**Provide customer service to organization’s employees with training registration and cancellations, course offering questions and other training related inquires.**
**Maintain and updated training registration site for local classes and monitor classes and enrollments.**
**Establish local course costs for open enrollment classes and intact request.**
**Support other TD shared goals activities that require L&D support (key talent programs, capability, webinars, etc)**
**Track local training budget and report to management on a monthly basis the budget status and LBE.**
**Support the processing of invoices, documentation and monthly reconciliation for responsible budgets.**
**Support global and local translations by providing in-country review of translated content.**
**Keep abreast of developments and innovations in training and education in industry and government education sectors so the organization’s training activities remain current and relevant**

**Major/Field of Study**
**HR, General Management or Business Administration or relevant studies**
**Education Level**
**Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required**

**3-5 years training operations or relevant experience**
**2 years of project management experience**
**Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint**
