A&P Mechanic (Lead)
**Job Title: A&P Mechanic Lead** **Pay Range:** $35 – $45/hour **Location:** Birmingham, AL **Shift:** M-F | 1st Shift **Job Description** The **A&P Mechanic Lead** is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in hangar environments, real-time line maintenance, and rapid-response AOG support. This will be a working Lead position. **Key Responsibilities** • Perform heavy maintenance, modifications, and overhauls on commercial aircraft systems and structures • Use technical manuals, schematics, and engineering data to complete accurate repairs • Document all work in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures • Conduct pre-flight, post-flight, and turnaround inspections • Occasionally respond to urgent aircraft-on-ground (AOG) events **Qualifications** • **Required:** FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification • **Required:** 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience (commercial aircraft preferred) • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aircraft systems • Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings • Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments • Flexible for travel, shifts, nights, and weekends as needed **Why Work Here?** This position offers a long-term opportunity with competitive pay. Flexibility in shift preference is appreciated, though candidates with specific shift requirements will still be considered. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
