Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive 5S Expert to lead and implement organizational and cleanliness standards across key facility areas. This role is crucial in driving consistency, efficiency, and safety in spaces such as warehouses, maintenance shops, loading docks, mechanical rooms, copier rooms, and conference rooms. The ideal candidate will also support asset tagging efforts to ensure all equipment meets standardized criteria.
ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) across various facility areas including warehouses, maintenance shops, loading docks, mechanical rooms, copier rooms, conference rooms, and kitchen equipment storage halls.Ensure all rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate supplies.Remove unnecessary items and garbage to maintain a clutter-free environment.Develop and implement consistent organizational standards across all facility areas.Create visual management tools such as labels, signage, and floor markings.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with 5S standards.Collaborate with teams to identify improvement opportunities and drive change.Support the asset tagging initiative by ensuring all equipment is properly labeled and tracked.Help establish and maintain uniform standards for equipment identification and placement.Work with maintenance and operations teams to ensure tagged assets meet compliance and usability standards.Essential SkillsProven experience implementing 5S or lean methodologies in industrial or office environments.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with asset tagging systems and facility management practices.Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Associates Degree.Additional Skills & QualificationsGo-getter; extrovert; independent but can also work in a team.Work Environment
This position requires onsite work, offering the opportunity to gain experience implementing 5S methodologies.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
