4866 - Jr. Security Analyst
Description Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Endpoint Security Administrator to join our security team. This entry-level position will focus on supporting our antivirus, endpoint management, and data loss prevention (DLP) infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in responding to incident tickets and ensuring the health and integrity of our endpoint security tool infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Support and Maintenance: • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of antivirus and endpoint management infrastructure. • Monitor and manage dashboards reporting the health of security tools on endpoints. • Perform routine checks and updates to ensure security tools are functioning optimally. Incident Response: • Respond to incident tickets related to endpoint security issues, providing timely and effective solutions. • Collaborate with the senior level security team members to investigate and resolve security incidents. • Monitor dashboards to identify any trends that need to be addressed to prevent a security issue. • Document incident resolutions and contribute to the development of knowledge base articles. Notes from Qual Call: Role is for endpoint security team In that team they own infrastructure for various security tools Crowdstrike for Anti-Virus, Forcepoint for DLP, Tanium for Endpoint management These generate core work for team Looking for a point person to take on operational related work First crack and incidents, monitor incident queue, tracking some more repetitive work, certificate expirations, monitoring slack channels for work requests, monitoring dashboards Doesn't have anyone on the team to make sure these things are taken care of while team is doing more engineering work Not asking this person to solve all these, but bring them to the teams attention. Point person so that things aren't missed Other responsibilities: quarterly app check out, take some of the repetitive work off the list of things from the engineers Doesn't need someone with those tools in their past experience, but can learn and pick things up quick Collaboration abilities will be very important Really wants to have a little experience in ServiceNow since it will be very involved for incident management Tickets will be coming in, and this person will need to be able to look at the queue of tickets Net new role At least some experience with troubleshooting calls, taking help desk calls, working with end users, used to working through problems, knowing how to re-route the tickets that come in, some customer assistance experience This team used to have a operations team, but they got moved to handle more engineering work so that is why this has led to the role coming open Will not be expected to come in and be completely working on their own Early on will be job shadowing, shown the ropes, and then eventually will be given freedom to work on this on their own after comfort is established Can't speak to a conversion because they are working through 2026 budget Team is 7 people currently. Standard business hours, half the team is remote, half on site Candidates can be remote, but needs to work CST All certs are nice to haves, not must haves Interview process: 1st - 30 minutes with Mitch and a Technical Lead, maybe a 3rd person. Understand the candidate's background and what they've worked on, what the role will be, and get some specific questions about their experience related to the job. 2nd - depending on how many people they want to move forward with will have a 2nd round Looking for someone to start on or after 9/1 Skills antivirus, endpoint management, endpoint security, dlp Top Skills Details antivirus,endpoint management,endpoint security,dlp Additional Skills & Qualifications Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus but not required. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
