ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Set-up, operate and maintain all Premier Cell equipment. + When necessary, able to make minor adjustments and repairs to premier cell equipment. + Reports necessary machine repair problems to Supervisor, Team Leader, and/or Maintenance personnel. + Performs basic preventative maintenance to the machine as outlined within the scope of the standard work. + Recognizes tooling problems/issues. Reports them to Engineering/Quality. Uses the correct tooling on job to ensure quality product. + Able to load and unload premier cell components to support the operation of the equipment. Must also have the ability to operate a fork truck if necessary. + Must be capable of following a level load schedule to meet customer demand and on-time delivery requirements. + Ability to pack product along with making proper shipping boxes and containers. + Ability to identify, analyze, and evaluate machine and/or material problems. + Required to use computer programs to assist in making box labels, prioritizing orders, printing shipsets, etc. + Must follow all facility, department and/or cell quality practices. + Able to read drawings and applicable blue prints. + Able to use a variety of precision measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, scales, etc.) + Required to follow all quality guidelines and check including first piece approvals and in-process inspections. + Requires the ability to conduct and evaluate destructive testing along with visual checks so necessary adjustments to the set-up can be made to produce a quality part. + Must follow all facility safety guidelines and practices. + Participates in the facility Lean and Improvement programs. + Actively participates in value stream and process improvement team activities and projects. + Assists Team Leader with continuous improvement efforts. Required to submit a minimum of 1 improvement idea per quarter. + Must be able to work well with other facility associates. + Able to train others in safety requirement, quality requirements, preventative maintenance requirements, and production practices and procedures. + Must have the ability to communicate and work well with other employees. Must interact and work with Production Control, Engineering, Quality, Supervisors, etc. + Promotes positive teamwork and maintains an acceptable attendance record. + Able to demonstrate “professionalism” will all associates, internal and external customers. + Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Value Stream Team Leader, Value Stream Manager, Plant Manager, or any other supervisor within the facility. DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Detect and report unusual conditions to supervisor. + Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. + Use personal safeguards for hands, ears, feet, and eyes as prescribed. + Perform related and other duties assigned by Lead, Value Stream Team Leader, Value Stream Manager, Plant Manager, or any other individuals of authority within the facility. + Required to participate in Parker’s “Lean” initiatives. + Follow all policies and procedures. Follow and supports Parker’s Employee Handbook, Values, and Code of Ethics. + Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately. + Participate in peer-based teams (i.e. Natural High-Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
