As 3D Modeling Manager, you will actively work in a team environment on the development and implementation of advanced 3D workflows and standards and BIM processes that will be used on a variety of complex transportation and structural infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
Leading the roads and highways 3D design, modelling, and production in ORD environments. Developing 3D design workflows and standards.Conduct 3D Modeling and Civil 3D training to the team..Participate in the development of CAD modelling standards.BIM process implementation and coordination with the various specialties to resolve clashes.Modeling of roads and highway projects with various complexity including multilevel interchanges and direct connectors. Work closely with engineers and design leads on assigned projects.Performs thorough quality control (QA/QC) of models and sheet files for standards compliance, discipline coordination and ensure model reflects design from all disciplines.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 15-20+ years of related work experience, including significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel.Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society may be required.Hands on experience in complex highway modeling, OpenRoads 3D design, corridor modelling, model specifications, BIM coordination and clash analysis, and complex interchange modeling throughout the US.Experience in digital transformation is an asset.Advanced proficiency in applying highly complex engineering methods, and thorough knowledge of industry practices.Possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of OpenRoads 3D Modeling for use in completing engineering assignments.Proficiency in utilizing Microstation, OpenRoads, and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.Security Clearance Requirement:
