Location: Ajax, Ontario
Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift (No evenings!)

As a Licensed 310T Mechanic with First Student, you will help maintain and repair school buses to ensure vehicle readiness & safety.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair with minimal supervision (brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions, etc.).Remove and reinstall mechanical components.Participate in 90-day preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual inspections.Issue semiannual and annual MTO certificates using the Drive On program.Complete work orders accurately using individual tablets; maintain records of parts and labor.Respond to road calls and emergency services as needed.Adhere to First Student standards, policies, and procedures.Perform other maintenance duties as required.Participate in ASE certification program (training, testing, and bonuses provided).

Qualifications:

Valid 310T Mechanic license (required).Valid driver’s license.Appropriate mechanic’s tool set.Strong problem-solving and computer skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
