The Opportunity:
As a part of our Maintenance Department, we are currently looking for a 310 T or 310 J Trailer Apprentice Mechanic or Licensed Mechanic to join our team. The technician is responsible for daily and preventative maintenance and completes the required repairs on company-owned trailers. The chosen candidate will provide quality customer service to our drivers, is safety focused and is a registered Apprentice Mechanic or Licensed Mechanic (310T or 310J).

Preventative and scheduled repairs:Review and follow work order instructions from start to finish Outline all parts used and input comments into the work order (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repairInspect entire vehicle and road test to ensure repairs are completeTest systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to isolate faultsNotify shift Team Leader of any other needed repairsIdentify any warranty repairs and complete necessary paperwork Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelinesShunting and moving equipment in and out of maintenance facility and other destinations for repairsShop cleanup:Put away any equipment used, including personal toolsShop cleanliness, emptying garbage cans at end of shift, washing floors and sweepingAttend shift meetings as requiredParticipate in formal and informal training sessionsPerforming other maintenance duties as requiredWhat You Need To Be Successful In This Role:
