**Job Title: 2nd Shift Welder** Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 2nd Shift Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of welding tasks, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring high-quality results. This role requires a strong understanding of various welding techniques and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and procedures. + Select the appropriate welding equipment or method based on job requirements. + Set up components according to specifications. + Prepare parts for welding using tools such as angle grinders. + Align and clamp components using measuring tools like tape measures and rulers. + Perform welding in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead. + Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps. + Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects or inconsistencies. + Maintain equipment in safe and functional condition. Essential Skills + Proven experience as a Welder is preferred; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. + Familiarity with MIG, TIG, and other welding processes. + Ability to use a variety of manual and electrical tools, such as saws, squares, and calipers. + Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. + Knowledge of safety standards and commitment to using personal protective equipment (PPE). + Dexterity, steady hand, and close attention to detail. + Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Additional Skills & Qualifications + AWS or other professional welding certifications are a plus. + Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical examination. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our work environment features a large open factory/plant floor with dim lighting due to the welding stations. Large overhead cranes are located throughout the building, and each welding station is spacious to accommodate grinding activities post-welding. The facility is well-ventilated to ensure a safe and comfortable working atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
