Volt is immediately hiring for an experienced 2nd shift SMT Operator in Carlsbad, Ca.

 

As an SMT Operator you will:

Operate SMT equipment including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems

Perform equipment setup, operation, and adjustments as needed

Identify and place SMD (Surface Mount Device) components accurately

Read and interpret safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, pick lists, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering documents

Collaborate with the SMT Lead to identify and implement process improvements

Work within an ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive environment and follow proper handling procedures

Read and follow assembly drawings and work instructions

Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance

Stand for extended periods as required by the job

Participate in daily housekeeping and upkeep of the work area

This is a full-time opportunity

 

The ideal candidate will have:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

1–2 years of experience working with SMT equipment in a manufacturing or related environment

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed

Availability to work overtime when required

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Reliable transportation to and from the workplace

Pay Rate: $21.00-24.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
