Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will organize and facilitate the maintenance of production and facility equipment, addressing needs at heights up to 15 feet. Your role involves troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. You will use electrical test equipment for repair and troubleshooting, repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components, and perform installation, modification, and fabrication of equipment and systems to meet production needs and schedules. Your work will cover a range of tasks, from troubleshooting and repairing to conducting preventative maintenance on systems such as conveyors, hydraulics, starters, oils, motors, and pumps.

ResponsibilitiesOrganize and facilitate maintenance of production and facility equipment.Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.Use electrical test equipment for repair and troubleshooting.Repair and rebuild electrical and mechanical components.Install, modify, and fabricate equipment and systems.Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment.Work with a wide range of machinery, from toilets to forklifts.Essential Skills8+ years of industrial maintenance experience.Experience with conveyors, hydraulics, motors, pumps, and starters.Ability to draw a Start-Stop Schematic.PLC troubleshooting experience.Ability to connect motors at different voltages or electrically troubleshoot motors.70% mechanical and 30% electrical troubleshooting skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHeavy PLC experience.Heavy troubleshooting of VFDs and PLCs.Troubleshooting and repair maintenance experience.Ability to diagnose and repair PLCs.Owning tools is preferred but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is based in a non-climate-controlled plant that experiences high temperatures in the summer. The maintenance team consists of 10 people within a larger team of 50 onsite, fostering close collaboration with other departments including production workers and forklift drivers. The night shift runs from 5 pm to 5 am, and flexibility is required as hours may increase. The dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, and a work shirt, with a company uniform provided eventually. You will be working in a high-speed oil production facility, where conditions can vary from very hot to very cold.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deer Park, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.66 - $37.66/hr.
