2nd Shift Forklift Operator

Job Summary

Forklift Operator I is responsible for the movement of material from inventory to production and back to inventory. Maintains correct paperwork and production records as required. Provides production departments with material from inventory according to production schedule. This is a 2nd shift position, hours of operation are 4pm. to 3am. This job will potently move to a 4 day work week. Monday - Thursdays with 12 hour days. Giving 3 days off a week and/or possible pick up on overtime due to demands or needs. One year of outdoor forklift experience is preferred.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Moves material in process from one station to another if necessaryBands, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels materialMoves finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouseAssist production with bottlenecks and other material needsProvides general preventive maintenance on equipmentCompletes pre-shift startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concernsMaintains rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and cleanCompletes production records as requiredFollows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policyParticipates in safety, CI and other programs and meetingsPerforms other duties as required


Qualifications

Minimum 9th grade basic education, High school diploma or GED preferred but not requiredNo minimum experience is required however, forklift driving experience is preferredWorking knowledge of basic math and inventory techniquesSuccessfully complete Forklift Driver licensing processMust be at least 18 years of age
