2nd Shift Assembly Technician / Manufacturing Associate
Pay Rate: $17.73/hour + $0.50 shift differential = $18.23/hour
Shift Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM (10-hour shifts)
Possible Overtime: Saturdays, 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM
Training Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (training period required)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable 2nd Shift Assembly Technician with electrical wiring experience to support production operations. This role involves assembling products according to work orders, inspecting materials, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain and review work orders from the Lead Person
Verify bill of materials for correct description, quantity, and required parts
Read routings carefully and report labor to the correct operation/sequence
Review work orders for special instructions and seek clarification as needed
Request and follow production assembly drawings when required
Inspect all parts during use for defects such as porosity, damaged threads, bad paint, or missing features
Perform 100% flange inspections using a .0015” feeler gauge (maximum insertion depth of 1/8”)
Lubricate all specified threaded areas
Remove and properly store nonconforming or questionable materials
Communicate assembly, tooling, or instruction issues promptly to the Lead Person, Supervisor, or Inspector
Maintain a clean and organized work area between jobs
Return all tools, equipment, and drawings to designated locations
Use downtime productively by restocking consumables, cleaning work areas, and preparing for upcoming work orders
Qualifications
Electrical wiring background required
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs continuously
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed
