2nd Shift Controls Tech

Job Description

As a Controls Tech supporting operations, you will play a vital role in designing, programming, and maintaining control systems that ensure safety, efficiency, and performance.

Responsibilities include:

- Investigate customer complaints, determine the nature and extent of problems, and recommend remedial measures.

- Understand, support, and program complete PLC, HMI, network devices, and related hardware for new equipment installations.

- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.

- Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for manufacturing purposes.

- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

- Use computer-based engineering software and equipment, including PLC and HMI programs, motion control systems, PC-based tools, and CAD platforms.

- Complete the design of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems for new and retrofit equipment to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.

- Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment and support new program equipment launch activities, including startup, debugging, and performance validation.

- Plan or implement research methodologies and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.

- Confer with leadership, customers, vendors, and suppliers to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.

- Possess the authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.

- Demonstrated experience in Controls Engineering or related technical fields

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.25/hr.
