2nd Shift Assembler
Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team. This position involves assembling subcomponents and finished products while operating hand and power tools. The role requires working on the 2nd shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with possible mandatory overtime until 11:30 PM and some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Assemble subcomponents and finished products using basic levels of product and process knowledge.Fit metal products using hand and power tools.Operate hand and power tools and an overhead crane to build heat exchangers.Participate in fast-paced production and assembly processes.Lift products weighing over 60 lbs to fit them together.Collaborate with team members to fulfill product orders daily.Engage in physical activities such as lifting, climbing, standing, walking, and extending arms for extended periods.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using hand and power tools.Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and schematics.Experience operating an overhead crane.Familiarity with mechanical blueprints and tape measure usage.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required within a certain time after permanent conversion.Ability to lift 50 lbs independently and 60 lbs with assistance.Capability to regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended periods.Experience using hand tools and power tools.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, organized, and large manufacturing floor with clearly labeled sections based on materials and production. The position operates during the second shift from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, Monday to Friday, with possible additional hours from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr.
