**Date Posted:** 2025-07-25 **Country:** United States of America **Location:** 01: Building 01 Windsor Locks One Hamilton Road, Windsor Locks, CT, 06096 USA **Position Role Type:** Onsite **U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements:** U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. **Security Clearance:** None/Not Required Take ownership of planning, setup, and execution of diverse manufacturing processes to ensure seamless production of heat exchanger cores and related components for environmental control systems—all while upholding the highest standards in environmental, health, and safety compliance. **What You Will Do:** + Set-up and operate a variety of equipment such as power and brake presses, finforming equipment, spot welders, and belt sanders to cut, form, trim, fit, bend, and saw material to fabricate detail parts to established methods and procedures. + Set-up and operate a variety of equipment to fabricate and test air bearings. + Clean, prepare, fabricate, and assemble various parts for brazing. + Mix and apply braze alloy and coatings as required. + Set-up, program and operate furnaces for heat treat and brazing. + Perform proof pressure and leakage tests. + Monitor the flow of work, recommend and implement changes to maintain deliveries to customer requirements. + Receive, unload, check, record, prepare, inventory, store, disburse and deliver a variety of materials, products and equipment. + Maintain rough stores, cribs, gage cabinets and point of use storage areas. Order, organize and store such items as supplies, materials, chemicals and tools. + Participate in review, analysis and ordering of purchased parts and materials to ensure appropriate inventory levels. Communicate with suppliers on delivery and quality concerns. + Review open purchased and shop part requirements. Review regularly with internal suppliers and purchasing. Coordinate and expedite deliveries as required. + Use various measuring instruments such as hardness testers, micrometers, voltage, temperature, and current monitors. Monitor and adjust equipment, processes and fluids to specifications. + Prepare micros and test pieces using equipment such as grinders, cutters, sanders and polishers. + Prepare material for lab test. Release purchased material from receiving inspection. + Check calibration of equipment in accordance with procedures, take temperature uniformity surveys, record and document as required. + Check work visually and dimensionally using required documentation to verify configurations, quality, and identify nonconformance from workmanship of self and others. + Modify or make a variety of simple tooling. + Perform periodic maintenance and minor repair of equipment. + Participate in audits of processes, procedures and work areas. + Use computers and office equipment to record and process transactions. + Utilize and maintain all necessary documentation such as logs, reports, charts, sampling plans, statistical process control records, and nonconformance documents. + Instruct one or two fellow employees in the proper performance of duties. + Utilize statistical methods to monitor process control and capability.
