The Dean of Academic Supports is responsible for leading initiatives that promote equitable academic outcomes for all students, with a focus on closing achievement gaps across student subgroups.

Requirements / Qualifications

What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree required; Special Education or Administrative credential preferred (or enrollment within one year); valid CA Single Subject Credential or Supplemental Authorization; full English Learner Authorization or BCLAD required. Minimum 3 years teaching (special education and/or language acquisition preferred) with proven success supporting English Learners and measurable student achievement gains. Experience coaching, developing staff, and delivering professional development to improve instructional practices. Skilled at designing and managing intervention programs, analyzing data, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive equitable outcomes. Strong verbal/written communication, excellent organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; Spanish or Korean fluency preferred. Industrious, student-centered, receptive to feedback, and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure student success.

What You’ll Do Student & Teacher Support Lead iReady implementation, including teacher training, intervention block structure, data tracking, and subgroup support for IE and ELD students. Design and monitor targeted intervention programs (RtI, Fundamentals) using data to address individual, group, and schoolwide needs in collaboration with staff. Support MTSS and SSPT processes, collaborating with counselors, teachers, and instructional assistants to improve equitable outcomes for all students. Data Tracking Develop and manage data systems for progress monitoring, tiered interventions, and stakeholder communication. Analyze and present academic trends to teachers and leadership teams, using subgroup data to inform action steps. Partner with the Student Data Coordinator to ensure accurate and accessible student performance data. Inclusive Education (IE) Coach Inclusion Specialist Teachers to deliver high-quality instruction and maintain compliance with special education requirements. Oversee IEP meetings, service tracking, inclusive education schedules, and professional development. Collaborate with school psychologists, service providers, and leadership to ensure alignment with school goals and student progress.
