INTERNSHIP FORMAT
This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns will be based at one of the Stellantis manufacturing plants located in the Metro-Detroit, Toledo, or Kokomo areas. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2026.

Wellbeing, Health, and Safety (WHS) interns at our manufacturing facility are immersed in real-world roles that provide hands-on exposure to all levels of our dynamic HR team. As part of their journey, interns rotate through key functional areas of manufacturing HR—gaining insight into labor relations, staffing, compliance, and employee engagement. DEPARTMENT DETAILS
As a WHS Intern, you will support the implementation and administration of standardized Wellbeing, Health, and Safety processes to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Provincial, and Local regulations, as well as Stellantis policies. Interns will work closely with plant WHS teams and gain exposure to:
· Conducting safety audits and assessments.
· Supporting WHS training programs and compliance tracking.
· Analyzing injury/illness data and assisting with root cause analysis.
· Participating in new equipment safety reviews.
· Assisting with safety reporting, documentation, and regulatory inspections.
· Contributing to WHS improvement projects and initiatives aligned with Stellantis Production Way (SPW) and OHSAS 18001 standards.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Pursuing an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Able to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship. Willing and able to work in a manufacturing plant environment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Completion of freshman year or higher by Spring 2026. Demonstrated leadership in academic, extracurricular, or service organizations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous internship experience with an automotive manufacturer. Ability to work with various levels of employees from hourly to executive. Willingness to relocate for internship.
