Job Description

As a Summer Intern in the Data, Digital & Technology (DD&T) team supporting Takeda’s US Business Unit, you will gain hands-on experience in the coordination and delivery of digital, data, and technology initiatives that enable new product launch success. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support project planning, execution, and communication across a portfolio of innovative healthcare technology projects.
 

How You Will Contribute: 

Assist in the coordination of DD&T projects, including commercial data and analytics solutions, field force technologies, and digital marketing enablement.

Support project planning activities such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting action items.

Help track project progress, dependencies, and risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Participate in team meetings, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

Conduct research on technology trends and best practices relevant to pharmaceutical product launches and digital health.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, commercial analytics and insights, commercial operations, and technology partners to gather and understand requirements and support project deliverables.

Job Requirements:  

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Information Technology, Marketing, Data Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.

Eager to learn about the pharmaceutical industry and the role of technology in healthcare.

Strong interest in digital health, technology, and project management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in a team environment.

Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.

Experience with Microsoft solutions such as CoPilot, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Jira) is a plus.

Interest or experience in artificial intelligence (AI), including familiarity with AI concepts, tools, or applications for everyday AI, productivity, collaboration, automation, or data literacy.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 days per week) role
 

Internship Eligibility  

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship  

Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later  

The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)   

The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames   

Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates   

Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

We understand compensation may be an important factor as you consider an internship opportunity. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include: 

 Paid sick time

Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
