Job Description

GlobalBioLife, a division of Takeda Pharmaceuticals, specializes in collecting high-quality human plasma to develop and manufacture over 20 life-savingproductsfor rare and chronic conditions. With aglobalnetwork of donation centers across the U.S. and Europe,BioLifeprioritizes safety, quality, and community contributions while aligning with Takeda’s mission to address unmet medical needs. TheFP&A team inBioLifeFinancesupports financial planning and analysisactivitiesforBioLife’sglobaloperations, playing a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. 

The FP&A Internin GlobalBioLifewillassistin financial reporting, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration,providingessential insights that drive strategic decision-making within the organization.

How You Will Contribute:

Duties will include the following, under the manager's supervision

Financial Reporting:Assistin preparing monthly financial reports and analyses forBioLife’smanagement.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting process and quarterly financial forecasts through data collection and analysis.

Data Analysis: Conduct variance analysis toidentifytrends andprovideactionable insights for financial performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to gather financial information and ensure consistency in financial data.

Ad-hoc Projects:Participatein special finance-related projects andassistin financial modeling andanalysis.

Presentation Support: Prepare materials for meetings with leadership and stakeholders, summarizing key financial data.

Process Improvements:Identifyopportunities for enhancing financial processes and reporting methods.

Internship Development Opportunities:

Interns will learn:

Gain hands-on experience inFP&Aat both global and regional levels, including mid/long-term planning, annual budgeting, and the monthly close process

Learnthe bestpractices for financial modeling and data automation, enhancing analytical efficiency and accuracy

Develop finance business partnering skills by collaborating with functional leaders across the globe, fostering professional relationships and strategic discussions

Acquireskills in stakeholder management and contribute to the development of business strategies, enhancing understanding of organizational dynamics

Expand analytical capabilities and presentation skills, enabling effective communication of financial insights and supporting decision-making processes

Job Requirements:

Educational Background: Must be pursuing aBachelor’sdegree (junior or senior) or a Master’s/PhD in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Financial Knowledge: Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles, withproficiencyin financial modeling and Microsoft Excel

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to interpret and analyze financial data

Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting findings

Adaptability: Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment, with strong teamwork, organization, and time management skills

Internship Eligibility

Mustbe authorized towork in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship 

Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026or later 

The internship program is 10-12 weeksdepending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14thor June 15th- August 21st)

The intern must be able to commit to one of thesetime frames

Able to work full time40 hoursa week during internship dates  

Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:

Paid sick time

Civic Duty paid time off

Participation at company volunteer events 

Participation at company sponsored special events

Access to on-site fitness center (where available)

Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
