Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Global Tech Center in Warren, Michigan three times per week, at minimum.
Each successful candidate will be offered a hybrid role at a specific location. Candidate location preferences are considered but cannot be guaranteed.
The Team:
The Culture team is part of the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization at General Motors – our internal engine for catalyzing enterprise-wide change. Within S&T, our team is responsible for setting and executing GM’s culture strategy to enable our people and organization to thrive. We work across the organization – partnering with leaders across all functions and business partners such as Communications, Employee Listening, and Talent – to answer big questions like:
What kind of culture will unlock bold risk taking, empowered decision making, and accountability?
How do we help leaders and teams shift the way they work in support of our strategy?
How do we turn our values and behaviors into something people experience day-to-day?
What You’ll Do:
Research and analysis: evaluate trends and conduct external benchmarking on organizations with highly rated cultures to deliver actionable recommendations for the Culture team.
Project support: assist in designing, implementing and evaluating new programs and strategies that drive cultural change.
Employee engagement: lead events and facilitate workshops with different employee groups – collecting and analyzing feedback to provide insight.
Cross-functional collaboration: coordinate and build relationships with other stakeholders to help implement our culture strategy.
Communication and storytelling: interact with various people and functions to mine purpose-driven or culture related stories to pitch
to internal communications.
Required Qualifications:
Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following areas: business, organizational psychology, human resources, communications or related fields
Must be graduating between December 2026 - June 2028
Curious and creative problem solver with a growth mindset and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment
Takes initiative and follows through – turning ideas into action and delivering impact by focusing on what customers need
Strong organizational skills and can work on multiple projects at a time
Excellent verbal and written communications skills – ability to distill complex ideas clearly and create compelling content for diverse audiences
Collaborator who works well in teams and independently
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $4,900 - $5,200 monthly, dependent upon class status and degree.
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2026 Student Program.
