**Employee Benefits Team**
Employee benefits are vital to employer recruitment and retention of top talent, and the Employee Benefits team is proud of the work we do to help employers offer valuable benefits and employees make the most of those benefits.
An employee’s injury or illness, or their need to take leave from work to help a family member with a health condition can impact an employee’s ability to work. The Employee Benefits team is passionate about making it simple for employees during whatever circumstances have them away from work.
As an Intern in the Employee Benefits Team, you will:
+ Learn about the benefits available to employees and the operational requirements of a claim organization
+ Depending on your education and interest, you may:
+ participate in review and drafting procedure documents
+ perform industry-specific research and analysis
+ participate in assessment of controls
+ draft communications sharing new or changes to existing
**Internship Details**
Dates: Nine week program starting in early June 2026
Location: Remote
Hourly Rate: $22/hour
**Qualifications**
+ Rising senior in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program (Class of 2027) preferred
+ Major or Minor reflecting interest in Law, Paralegal, Business Management, Risk, or Communications
+ Strong written communication skills, ability to work independently and meet deliverables as agreed
+ Ability to work during the full 9-week program
**Competencies and Skills**
**Effective Communication:** Knowledge of formal writing conventions, ability to clearly convey information to audiences using both writing and spoken word.
**Effective Presentations:** Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.
**Listening:** Knowledge of effective listening issues and techniques; ability to gather, clarify, and apply information transmitted verbally, while exhibiting a genuine interest toward the speaker.
**Managing Multiple Priorities:** Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
**Researching:** Familiarity with online tools and basic research techniques for gathering, organizing, and generating reliable and accurate documentation of research.
