2026 Summer Intern - Design Visualization - AI CGI

Job Description

Work Arrangement:  

Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI on a full-time basis.  

The Role:  

As part of our innovative team, you’ll work alongside designers, modelers, and visualization artists to bring vehicle concepts to life using cutting-edge AI tools. You’ll help visualize design ideas, explore aesthetic directions, and support storytelling for internal and external audiences.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Creating high-quality conceptual imagery using generative AI platforms like Viscom AI, Runway AI, and Midjourney

Developing and refining AI prompts to produce visuals that align with design briefs and brand identity

Collaborating with design teams to iterate on visual direction and storytelling

Supporting presentations and reveal assets for leadership reviews and public showcases

Staying current on AI image generation trends and tools, and helping document best practices

Required Qualifications:

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in one of the following areas: Design, Industrial Design, Visualization, Computer Graphics or related field

Must be graduating Dec 2026 – May 2028

Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week 

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to automotive, industrial, or product design

Familiarity with CGI tools like Blender, Unreal Engine, or VRED, etc.

Understanding of 2D/3D design workflows

Interest or experience in motion/video storytelling

Hands-on experience with generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Runway AI, Viscom AI)

Strong visual and artistic skills—especially in composition, lighting, and form

Great communication and collaboration skills in a creative, fast-paced environment

Ability to take feedback and adapt quickly

Start Dates:

Intern: Start Dates for this internship role are May & June of 2026.
