Join the Sam’s Club Merchandising team, where growth, learning, and impact all come in bulk. As a Merchandising Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in item strategy, merchandise planning, and retail execution while tackling real-world challenges alongside industry leaders.
This internship offers exposure across several exciting areas of merchandising:
Core Merchandising – Partner with senior Merchants to decide which items reach clubs and help create a “treasure hunt” shopping experience for members.Pricing – Learn how data drives our pricing strategies and contribute to decisions that deliver value and keep members returning.Replenishment – Understand the flow of merchandise by mastering forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain execution.Member’s Mark – Get involved in sourcing, developing, packaging, and building awareness of Sam’s Club’s exclusive private-label brand.What You’ll DoCollaborate with cross-functional teams on high-impact merchandising projects.Analyze data to support strategic decisions on assortment, pricing, and inventory.Present recommendations and insights to business leaders.Contribute to shaping the member experience through innovation and execution.What We’re Looking ForCurrent junior in an accredited undergraduate program.Majors in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.Adaptability, curiosity, and a genuine passion for retail/merchandising.A successful candidate does not require sponsorshipWhy Sam’s Club?Exposure to a Fortune 1 company with a culture of innovation and member obsession.Mentorship and learning opportunities from industry leaders.Housing assistance to make relocation easy.Post-internship consideration for our Merchandising Development Program (MDP) – a full-time, two-year rotational program designed to accelerate your career in merchandising.#ECmerch
