The student will also support other departments in the plant (production, quality, etc) when development related tasks arise. Examples of tasks include: + Tear-downs of field return/development tested components to expose internal failure locations in order to analyze surface conditions. + Documentation of tear-down investigations (presentations and/or reports) and presenting results + Coordinating and conducting design related testing + Data analysis, interpretation and presentation of testing results + Creating scripts in order to automate repetitive tasks. **Qualifications** **Preferred Skills and Background:** + Interest in Automotive Background + Mechanical background along with general understanding of materials + Matlab and CAD experience + Coding experience (python, javascript, etc) + Ability to effectively present and communicate findings + Ability to work within a team + Knowledge of mechanical drawing, Geometric dimension & tolerance **Minimum Requirements:** + Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Materials Science with at least one semester completed. + Strong Microsoft Office skills **Additional Information** All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
