2026 Intern – Analyst Relations
**Introduction** This role is for an internship in Summer 2026. The Internship is expected to start on Tuesday, May 26th with an end date of Friday, July 31st. A place where you can bring innovation to life. **Your role and responsibilities** As an IBM Communications Intern, you’ll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic IBM business challenge. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. Between project work and intern programming, you'll get to touch a variety of areas within Marketing and Communications. At the end of program, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your final outcomes to a large audience of Leaders and Practitioners across the organization. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer. The role supports our Analyst Relations team, which is a strategic function that works with industry analysts and influencers. Our role is to position IBM and our offerings and solutions in the market by providing strategic advice and the voice of the customer. We work with industry experts and analysts to influence the media and shape public perception around IBM. As an intern on the Analyst relations team, you may support efforts around: * Supporting analyst research on IBM, its competitors, and the markets that IBM competes in * Collaborating with colleagues in marketing, sales, offering management, communications legal and BU leadership to ensure that IBM is getting the best representation with the analyst community. * Supporting paid strategic research projects to ensure that key analyst firms are actively engaged with IBM offerings * Developing a keen understanding of how to build credible and impactful relationships with key influencers and leading industry analysts. This role is based in Austin, TX. We work in a hybrid environment. This position will be required to come into the office at least three days per week. This role will be posted until September 30. Therefore, to be considered for this position, you must have the ability to work without a need for current or future Visa sponsorship. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Currently enrolled in an accredited University * Available for an internship in Summer 2026 * Rising senior for the 2026-2027 school year * Strong project management and problem-solving skills * Eager to learn and collaborate cross-functionally and with internal subject matter experts, external industry analysts, and other key partners * Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to follow-up and driving work to completion * Basic knowledge of problem-solving and analytical skills and able to develop insightful takeaways * Basic market research skills * An eagerness to learn about enterprise technology and industry analysis * Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills and a knack for knowing when to lead and when to listen **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Prior experience working in enterprise technology or with industry analysts * A desire to grow in the Analyst Relations profession and learn from the industry’s best talent * The drive to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suggest creative ways of engaging analysts to yield positive outcomes for IBM * Basic market research skills * A strategic, consultative, data-driven mindset IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
