We are looking for Graduates for our Mobility Transport Planning teams, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. Our Mobility - Transport Planning teams take a people and place-based approach to consider mobility for all parts of society. We collaborate with clients across the UK to develop effective and sustainable strategies that deliver positive social, environmental, and economic outcomes. **Transport Planning**
Our Transport planners shape the future of cities and communities by contributing to sustainable travel systems. For graduates, a role within this team offers the excitement of combining data analysis, creativity, and collaboration to deliver meaningful change to the way people, goods and services are delivered across our society.
Each project brings new challenges; from integrating green technologies to enhancing mass transportation. Day-to-Day activities could include:
+ Data Analysis: Collect and analyse transportation data.
+ Project Management: Assist in planning and monitoring projects from concept to delivery.
+ Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders with regards to projects and their areas of interest.
+ Decarbonisation and future mobility: Integrate green technologies and sustainable planning as part of our solutions to projects.
+ Policy Development: Contribute to transportation policies and approaches from national guidance to local implementation strategies
+ Innovation and Research: Stay updated with industry trends.
+ Impact Assessment: Evaluate the impacts of projects to all
**Liveable Places**
Our Liveable Places team plan, design and deliver projects from an idea to construction, helping a wide variety of clients across the UK re-envision and re-shape and helping people and places thrive. As a graduate in this team, you can expect to work on projects such as the development of the Regional Transport Strategy for the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority or the design and delivery of Gloucestershire's ambitious cycle and walking network.
Our Liveable places parking projects team deliver small to medium sized parking projects. Working in this team you will be provided with an opportunity to utilise and gain further engineering skills whilst also offering the opportunity to gain skills in data analysis, CAD, public and stakeholder engagement, GIS applications and Parking legislation. From initial site visits to identify suitable locations and recording current restrictions on street to drawing up proposals for the purpose of consultation and implementation of the schemes, no day would ever be the same.
Day-to-day activities could include:
+ Research and data analysis
+ Working collaboratively with colleagues across WSP to input into reports
+ Liaising with clients and third-party stakeholders
+ Scheme Design – Active Travel, Bus priority, Road Safety
+ CAD, GIS, Modelling
+ Option Development
+ Project Management
+ Site work
+ Data analysis – Excel and PowerBi
+ Parking Design Preparation
+ Gaining knowledge of Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) and Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 3
**Graduate Development Programme**
You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team, providing you with a challenging and fulfilling career. In this team, you will be dealing with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating with colleagues and adapting to dynamic project environments.
Our two-year Graduate Development programme is designed to support personal and professional development and growth through an engaging blended learning experience. **What we will be looking for you to demonstrate**
You’ll have graduated with at least a 2:1 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject for the role you are applying for. **_To assist you in finding potential areas of the business that are relevant to you. + Candidates must complete the application form in full answering all specific questions. This requirement applies to all candidates, inclusive of their background. Successful completion of this stage is mandatory. Candidates who pass this initial stage, will then be required to complete an online skill enabler assessment. Both the application form and the skill enabler assessment are essential parts of the early career’s recruitment process.
