Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education, the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education Teacher is responsible for providing standards and goal-based instruction to early childhood, elementary, and middle-school aged students who are deaf/hard of hearing. The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education Teacher is also responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing programs and services designed to address the unique needs of children who are identified as deaf or hard of hearing by observing, consulting and assisting educational staff members as they adapt classroom instructional strategies to meet their students' educational needs. Adheres to California State Standards and benchmarks in establishing instructional goals, and provides assessments that measure whether students meet standards, in a safe and academic school environment.
