2025 Fall Veteran Employment Transition (VET) Program: Lead Business Relationship Support Specialist

The Veteran Experienced Talent (VET) Program is a 6-week direct hire program dedicated to hiring military talent. Veterans are hired as full-time employees and will receive support and coaching aimed at supporting transition into Wells Fargo. The program includes a two-day Military Orientation led by the Military Talent Strategic Sourcing (MTSS) Team or Learning and Development Facilitators. Weekly professional development sessions are held to ease transition, network, and build camaraderie within the cohort. In addition, VET Program Alumni are available to mentor and support hires.

About the Role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Relationship Support Specialist to join the Credit and Data Administration (CDA) team within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Lending Operations. This role focuses on post-transaction support, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of credit-related data and documentation across the bank’s systems. 

About the Business:
Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) provides a full suite of corporate banking solutions—including credit, treasury management, and derivatives—to clients in Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Structured Products. The CDA team plays a critical role in supporting these lines of business by managing post-close activities and maintaining high standards of data quality and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:

Lead and oversee post-transaction processes for complex corporate credit facilities, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal standards

Review and validate legal and credit approval documentation, ensuring alignment with systems of record and regulatory requirements

Serve as a key liaison between deal teams, credit execution, operations, and risk partners to ensure seamless data flow and issue resolution

Identify and resolve high-impact issues, manage escalations, and implement sustainable solutions

Provide strategic input on policy interpretation, process improvements, and system enhancements

Maintain deep expertise in bank policies, procedures, regulatory frameworks, and data governance practices

Mentor and coach junior and mid-level team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence

Represent the CDA group in cross-functional initiatives and governance forums

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in business relationship support, credit operations or a related field demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Service in any branch of the United States military

Expert level knowledge of credit documentation and corporate loan structures

Advanced proficiency with credit systems such as LIQ, nCino, CoRS, ICMP, WCIS, ART, TRE, RCS, and E-TRAC

Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage complex workflows and influence cross-functional teams

Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on risk mitigation and data integrity

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic and complex environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Job Expectations:

Ability to work a hybrid schedule (In-office presence required on designated days)

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$87,000.00 - $154,000.00
