Program Overview:
The 2025-2026 Software Engineering Apprenticeship provides participants with a part-time placement within our Corporate and Investment Banking Technology group. The experience includes relevant work assignments, real-world training, group projects, and exposure to key leaders. It is designed to provide students with a blend of business, technical, and personal developmental training.
The program targets students who are pursuing their associate degree at LaGuardia Community College and have completed the 6-week Software Engineering Bootcamp.
Program participants will have the opportunity to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of an employee and gain comprehensive professional and industry experience. The program aims to provide a firm understanding of the company’s operations, business strategies, and corporate culture.
Upon competition of the apprenticeship program, based on apprenticeship performance and completion of associates degree; participants will have the opportunity to be considered for a full-time Engineering Associate as a participant of Wells Fargo’s CODE program.
Program Duration: September 2025 - June 2026 (10 months)
In this role, your responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
Software Engineering - Participating in the design, development, integration, testing, deployment and support of technology systems to businesses. Typically, will work within an Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Lead) setting.
Typical Tech Stacks: Java, ReactJS, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
Required Qualifications, US:
Currently pursuing an Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other Technology STEM related majors
Graduation Date between December 2025- June 2026
Successful completion of the LaGuardia Community College Software Engineering Bootcamp
6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to work onsite at our Wells Fargo offices in Midtown for approximately 20 hours a week
Hands-on technical experience with a diverse skill set which may include but not limited to: Java, Cloud technology, .NET, Python, SQL, etc.
Professional experience through internships, part-time or full-time work, and/or demonstrated leadership experience in academics or a community setting
A desire to learn new technical skill sets and knowledge of the banking industry/products
Pay Range:
NY: $30.00 - $30.00 Hourly
