What will you do?

This opportunity will be highly initiative-driven and in addition to set responsibilities, the student will excel by seeking out their own opportunities to learn and add value. Key responsibilities include:

Liaise with the RBC distribution network and internal partners over a variety of mediums (phone, email, internal messaging) to position Risk Solutions Group (RSG) clients & anchor the client with a Dedicated Regional SalespersonAssist in New Client onboarding and maintain the Client Relationship Management (CRM) systemPrepare market commentary and client-friendly FX & Rates market presentationsManage the distribution lists to share market and economic information relevant for the client’s hedging decisionsExecute instructions from sales to adjust/ fine-tune FX pricing within onboarding competitive/optimal pricing Assist with phone coverage during business hoursProactively identify operational risks / control deficiencies in the businessAssist Rates Salesperson in pre-trade and post-trade tasksComplete ad-hoc projects to analyze client data to improve operational processes and spot business growth opportunities

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

Successful completion of a minimum of first year of an undergraduate degreeBasic market knowledge and a demonstrated keen interest in capital marketsExcellent analytical and communication skillsMotivated individual who is able to take initiative and self-developDemonstrated problem-solving skills, business sense and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in high pressure environmentsProficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Nice to have:

CSC and CPH preferred and enrolment in CFA is a strong assetA sound understanding of foreign exchange or interest ratesPrior related work experience valuedPrior use of Bloomberg, Thomson and Reuters preferred
