Position Overview

As an Assistant Principal of Instruction at Ednovate, you will be responsible for ensuring excellence in teaching and learning through strategic oversight of academic programming, instructional leadership, and assessment systems. Through coaching cycles and by empowering department leads, you will oversee all aspects of the academic program, develop teacher capacity through targeted professional development, and implement data-driven instructional practices that maximize student success. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong instructional leadership experience and a track record of achieving strong academic outcomes looking to create positive multigenerational change in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. This is a full-time, exempt role that reports to the school Principal.

What You'll Do

Be an instructional leader. Drive academic vision and excellence by developing department leaders and teachers to deliver consistent rigorous instruction, building and monitoring academic enrichment and intervention programs, overseeing curriculum implementation, and ensuring appropriate accommodations and supports for special populations. Lead instructional coaching and professional development by facilitating weekly professional development sessions, coordinating quarterly planning weeks, and developing teacher capacity through observation and feedback cycles. Meet all school leader responsibilities, including but not limited to attending leadership meetings, leading academic teams, covering teammates in their absence, and modeling exemplary teamwork and school culture.

Lead academic operations. Oversee academic operations including grade monitoring, technology integration, and compliance with academic policies and requirements. Design and manage comprehensive assessment systems for all assessments, including state testing, network assessments, and AP exams while ensuring effective data analysis and response to drive student achievement. Develop and implement systems and processes for data-driven instruction. 

Cultivate family partnerships.  Foster academic communication and family engagement through regular updates, facilitation of parent sessions, and ensuring transparent sharing of student achievement data. Improve family experience through regular communication,

We're Looking For 

Bachelor degree, required

A California Administrative Credential, Single Subject Teaching Credential or Out of State Teaching Credential, preferred; clear path to receiving a teaching credential within a year, required

2+ years of school leadership experience with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in academics, culture, and engagement, required
