PURPOSE
WWEX Group is looking for an experienced director to entrust with leading software and architecture of one of our most strategic platforms: Globaltranz Command.  This director will lead developers working across a wide breadth of technologies including C#/.Net, MS SQL, React, RabbitMQ and Elastic Search.  Thousands of customers, agents and employees across North America rely on Globaltranz Command to run their businesses 24/7.  This team will be responsible for improving the features, performance, security, resiliency and scalability of the platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Manage priorities, planning and execution across the entire Globaltranz Command platform
•    Organize large, complex feature releases and lead matrix team of Engineers, QE, Product Management, DBOps, DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure as necessary to successfully deliver the features
•    Lead matrix teams in responding to and resolving any High Priority Incidents (HPI) with the platform.  This may include responding to and working HPIs outside of normal business hours.
•    Maximize overall system uptime through high quality code, thorough testing, resilient architecture, fast root cause analysis and rapid incident response
•    Understand the multi-mode logistics processes and business flows that Globaltranz Command helps users manage
•    Prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
•    MS/Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or a related field; or equivalent work experience 
•    10 years of experience leading software engineering teams with at least 5 years of experience developing and supporting large, complex software platforms with non-employee users
•    10 years of experience developing in:
o    C#
o    Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL
•    2 years of experience developing with React or Angular
•    Experience with agile development methodologies (SCRUM or Kanban)
•    Previous experience in the Logistics and Transportation Industry is helpful and preferred
