**What's in it for you:**
As a Manufacturing Engineer your role is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency and to develop manufacturing plans which improve operations competitiveness.
**What you will do:**
+ Develop and define concepts and manufacturing processes for, and as an integral part of, all new product introductions and product enhancement programs, using advanced engineering techniques such as DFM / DFA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), FMEA, 3P (Production, Preparation Process), 7-Ways, and Lean Six Sigma Methodology
+ Assumes responsibility for Capital planning, CER creations and Approvals, Capital Project Timing and Implementation, Capital Spending and Budgeting/ Assumes responsibility for Plant VA/VE Savings
+ Ensures all equipment meets OSHA compliant safety regulations
+ Drives engineering principles and discipline through mentoring, training and project reviews including: PFMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Dynamic Control Plans (DCP), Lean Tools, Project Management and Simultaneous Engineering
+ Manages, develops and improves manufacturing standards including machine capability and capacity, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
**What you will bring:**
+ Bachelor's Engineering Degree required
+ 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Qualified candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
+ Experience with lean principles and techniques to include Visual Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Cycle Time Reduction and Process Balancing, Yokoten, 5S, Set Up Reduction (SMED), and Kanban.
+ Strong analytic skills, with ability to clearly link operational performance drivers to financial results.
+ PLC Programming and Automation knowledge is a plus.
**Key Competencies:**
+ New product development understanding.
+ Ability to utilize engineering principles to develop robust manufacturing processes the first time.
+ Ability to use such management-leadership techniques such as; project mgt., objective development and project review disciplines.
+ Fluent knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, assembly and quality control processes.
+ Strong leadership skills to drive engineering principles and processes.
+ Understanding of Lean, 3P, Kaizen and Six Sigma programs.
+ Knowledge of new model launch requirements and processes to ensure flawless launch goals.
+ PC Skills: Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint and MS Project.
+ Experience in 2D/3D Modeling software (AutoCAD, Pro-E) is desirable.
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
+ Requires cross functional communication, simultaneous engineering and reporting.
+ Ability to resolve multiple conflicts between widely varying personalities.
+ Ability to guide and lead non-technical & technical personnel to technical solutions.
+ Demonstrated implementation of root cause analysis and solutions.
**Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:**
$89,585.00 - $124,950.00
