**Job Title: 1st Shift Extrusion Dept Operator** **Job Description**
Join our team as a 1st Shift Production Operator, where you will receive training to operate a variety of extrusion equipment. Your role will involve setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, labeling, and packing finished products.
**Responsibilities**
+ Check operating controls and ensure the safety of equipment prior to operation.
+ Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins and notify the supervisor if any material is damaged, defective, or missing.
+ Set up the machine based on production orders.
+ Monitor material quality for defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.
+ Label and pack finished products as they are produced, following work order instructions.
+ Review work orders and drawings to resolve any conflicts.
+ Wear a respirator for machine setup.
+ Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
+ Comply with OSHA safety standards when performing job duties.
+ Notify the supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
+ At least 2 years of experience in heavy labor, general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.
+ Good attendance and a strong work ethic in a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Fast learner with patience and self-motivation.
+ Some power tool and mechanical skills.
+ Interest in operating machinery.
+ Basic Microsoft Office skills.
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
+ Good job tenure is required.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr.
