Job Description

As a Conversion Department Operator, you will be responsible for operating equipment controls for loading/unloading rolls safely for packing, and winding/rewinding finished products. You will also prepare samples and print and label finished products.

Responsibilities

Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.Obtain material for processing from inventory bins and report any damaged or missing materials.Set up machines based on production orders.Label and pack finished products as per work order instructions.Review work orders and drawings, resolving any conflicts.Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.Comply with OHSA safety standards.Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.Maintain lift cart certification.

Essential Skills

2 years of experience in heavy labor, machine operating, carpentry, or construction.Experience with large parts or materials (4 ft +).High school diploma or equivalent work experience.Good documentation skills.Understanding of oral and written instructions.Effective working relationships with other employees.Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.Experience with an ERP or computer system for manufacturing orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with film/paper/cardboard rewinding machinery or converting machinery.Experience with bottling/food manufacturing machinery.Experience with hand tools, drills, saws, etc.Some Microsoft Office skills.Good job tenure is essential.

The product line includes vacuum bagging films, release films, tapes, and various other materials used in industries such as aerospace, wind energy, marine, and automotive. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.
