ARCHDIOCESE OF SAN FRANCISCO All Souls Catholic School JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Grade 1 Teacher’s Aid Reports To: Principal of School & Pastor of All Souls Parish Office/ Dept: Department of Catholic Schools FLSA Status: Part time, Non Exempt (17.5 hours / week) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ? Classroom Assistance: Support the lead/homeroom teacher in managing the classroom, including preparing materials, organizing activities, and maintaining a clean and safe learning environment. ? Student Support: Provide individual and small group assistance to students, helping with assignments, reinforcing learning concepts, and addressing any disciplinary issues under the direction of the lead teacher. ? Behavior Management: Assist in monitoring and guiding student behavior, implementing classroom rules and procedures, and addressing any disciplinary issues under the direction of the lead teacher. ? Instructional Support: Help with the preparation and execution of lesson plans, including setting up and using educational tools and technology. ? Communication: Maintain effective communication with the lead teacher, parents, and school staff regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns. ? Supervision: Supervise students during non-classroom times, such as lunch, recess, and field trips, ensuring their safety and well-being. ? Administrative Tasks: Perform clerical duties as needed, including copying, filing, and organizing instructional materials. QUALIFICATIONS: ? Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to communicate and work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and staff. ? Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and maintain a structured classroom environment. ?
