Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the loading and unloading of trucks, handling various shipments, and ensuring the accurate distribution of materials within the facility.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a stand-up forklift, spending approximately 50% of your time on the forklift and 50% off.Load and unload LTL, Truckload, and UPS/FedEx shipments using a forklift, pallet jack, or manually.Verify delivery addresses, check pallet or box counts, and inspect for any visible damage before signing the Bill of Lading.Distribute paperwork and materials to the appropriate areas within the facility.Accurately issue materials from the warehouse to production using requisitions, manual spreadsheets, and a computerized inventory system.Assist in the shipment of materials as directed by the Supervisor.Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.Essential Skills2+ years of forklift operating experience.Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Experience with material handling and inventory management.Proficiency in operating a stand-up and sit-down forklift.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with RF scanners and pallet jacks.Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.Order picking and loading skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment and Pay

The work environment is climate-controlled and features a small team of two other forklift operators and a supervisor. The first shift runs from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, with minimal overtime required on Fridays. Pay is $19-21/hr, based upon experience. The facility is organized and encourages a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere.

This is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $43680.00/yr.

- 4-10s (3 day weekend)
- Not a lot of OT: 40-50 hours a week
- Very clean and organized shop - climate controlled!
- 3-4% annual raise (once direct)
- $0.70 raise once you go direct
