Job Description

Overview

The expectation of this role is that the person is well established and experienced with C# development and understands common design patterns.  As such, high quality output is mandatory with adherence to the Percana Coding Standards and the other relevant steps of the SDLC.

Junior Developers will require regular mentoring and guidance by the Senior Developer and this should be viewed as a core part of the role.

The Senior Developer may be required to act as a conduit between Percana and other offshore developers and/or the Senior Technical Lead.

Personal Skills

Excellent verbal and written skillsExperience in the entire SDLC utilising a formal development process such as Agile/WaterfallSelf-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skillsAble and willing to learn complex business processesAbility to solve problems

Required Technical Skills

8+ years’ experience in a primarily C# development roleExperience developing with .NET framework 4.5+, WCF, Windows Forms, ASP.NET, Web ServicesStrong SQL Server experience:  T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Views etc.Unit-test framework experience (xUnit, MSTest etc.)

Desirable Skills

.Net Core 3.0+ workplace development experienceStrong understanding and experience of developing with IoC (Autofac) and AOPTeam Foundation Services workplace experiencePension and Insurance industry experienceExperience refactoring legacy systemsCloud development (Azure and/or Amazon)Containerisation (Docker)SOAP UI and Postman experience
