Job Description
1. Requirement analysis and Management
1) Responsible for the collection, analysis, and breakdown of sensor customer, market and legal requirements into components.
2) Support system concept evaluation.
2. Mechanical Design
1) Responsible to design the mechanical structure of sensor, including the housing, mounting interfaces, fixing of internal components, and sealing system design.
2) Responsible for 3D, 2D, DRBFM, tolerance stack up and related document creating.
3) Responsible to evaluate and select suitable materials, such as plastics, metals, and sealing materials.
4) Responsible for mechanical test specification making and verification.
5) Lead Mechanical Competence building in organization for new technology sensor with clear PDCA cycle.
3. Design for Manufacturing
1) Ensure the manufacturability of the design. Adjust and adapt design acc. to existing manufacturing technology or equipment to mostly reuse.
4. Cooperation
1) Work closely with system and electronic engineers to design reliable fixation, housing, and protection structures for key electronic components such as induction coils and PCBs.
2) Work with reliability engineers in experimenting and analyzing and resolve the failures.
3) Support and join in prototypes building, optimize and improve product design based on the findings at prototype production.
4) Support the issues that arise during product mass production, continuously optimize product design and standardization, as well as cost reduction.
5. Component development
1) Support relevant departments and suppliers in the development of components, establish and clarify component requirements, support suppliers in solving problems, and release the components from engineering.
6. Innovation
1) Capture sensors’ new technologies in market. Drive design, manufacturing and application innovation for sensor in organization.
Qualifications1) Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in mechanical engineering or related fields.
2) 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the automotive industry, 2+ years of development experience from 0 to 1. Experience with chassis sensors and actuators is preferred.
3) Familiar with the V-model development process in the automotive industry, understanding the development processes of IATF 16949 and ISO 26262.
4) Proficient in customer demand analysis and accurately breaking it down to products and components.
5) Proficient in the mechanical design such as plastics and metals component, skilled in the design of gears and racks, springs, and connector.
6) Proficient in 3D and 2D creating (UG is prefer), tolerance stack up, DFMEA, DRBFM, DfR, special characteristics.
7) Familiar with testing in the automotive industry, skilled in problem-solving methods, mindset and related tools.
8) Familiar with simulation tools such as Model Flow, can understand the reports and optimizing product structures accordingly. Proficient in using Ansys for structural simulation and Kiss Soft for gear design.
9) Strong innovative mindset and sensitive to technology trends.
10) English for reading and writing technical documents is mandatory, can communicate with English in oral.
