You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams across Bosch Research, product divisions, and external partners to translate cutting-edge research into scalable industrial solutions.

• Conduct fundamental and applied research in embodied AI for robotics and automation with industrial relevance.
• Design and implement advanced robotic perception, learning, and control systems.
• Develop and evaluate learning-based methods for robot manipulation, motion generation, and task execution in manufacturing contexts.
• Integrate multimodal sensing (e.g., vision, force, tactile, proprioception) into robotic systems with novel data-driven paradigms.
• Bridge simulation and real-world deployment, ensuring robustness and reliability in production environments.
• Collaborate with product teams to transition research outcomes into prototypes and deployable technologies.
• Publish research results and contribute to Bosch intellectual property.

Qualifications• Master’s or PhD degree (or equivalent research experience) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong background in robotics, with demonstrated experience in robot manipulation and control.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
– Robot learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning
– Vision-language or multimodal models for embodied systems
– Motion planning, control, and manipulation
– Sim-to-real transfer and real-world robotic experimentation
• Hands-on experience with real robotic platforms beyond simulation.
• Proficiency in Python for rapid research prototyping; C++ is a plus.
• Experience with modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
